Scent of Heaven Ministries Mission           Statement

The Mission of Scent of Heaven Ministries is to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth.  To share the good news that God the Father loved us so much that he sent his one and only son Jesus to save us from our sins. John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him,”  so that we could live forever with our Father in Heaven.

We believe we are commissioned to preach, teach, share and encourage people through the love of God and through the truth of the Word of God.  We believe we are here for “such a time as this” to help usher in a time “where the Glory of the Lord covers the earth as the water covers the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14.  We believe we are called to the hurting, the broken, the unlovely, and the ones that have been forgotten: to share the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The good news that he is coming back again.

Our commission is Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”  We believe that we are just one of many ministries that God is raising up at this time to be “a voice of one crying out in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.”  Mark 1:3  Our hearts cry is Isaiah 61:1-4 “The spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He might be glorified.”

Finally, that we are called to be a repairer of the breach; Isaiah 58:12 “Those from among you shall repair the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Paths in which to dwell.”  It is our mission to fulfill these plans all for the glory of God that he may be glorified in the earth today and accomplish the mission that Jesus gave the church and “to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:27
